@jeffsotoart Frank is an absolute legend in the art world. Was lucky enough to meet him a couple of times. RIP F.K.

There are some beautifully written tributes to Frank Kozik’s life. I can’t add much. Kozik and I did not really know each other super well, we only hung out a handfull of times in 20+ years, but he ALWAYS supported me. This was huge to me- especially early on- to have support from the older generation of artists. I reconnected with him recently on Clubhouse (like many others) and through creating/collecting NFTs. Once again, he was supportive of artists including myself who were exploring this new medium. Yes he came off as a bit grumpy, he was opinionated and controversial! He was really funny and I think he had fun making art and enjoyed working with artists. He also loved cats (endearing) and would ask about my plants (Euphorbia) from time to time. I took this pic of him painting at Babytattooville in 2011. RIP @frankkozik !

Congrats @Archie9Lives for collecting both the Golden Rainbow Sotofish and SuperSF! Just as a reminder, Sotofish is still my main NFT art project (as opposed to my 1 of 1s which are digital paintings on par with physical art). I still have plans for Sotofish!
