11/19/2024 My life changed forever... I woke up and my side was hurting, I also couldn't breathe all that well. I figured it was probably just pneumonia. That day i went about my day, had 3 of my kids parent teacher conferences. Just treated it like any other day. About 3PM I told my wife it was getting worse and that i should go get it checked out. I went to the hospital and that would be the start of a 10 day stay that i was completely unprepared for. They took my vitals, took my blood, all the normal stuff when you walk into a hospital. Then they sent me for x rays. The tech took the images and immediately came out with a wheelchair and asked me to sit. That's when i had a thought things weren't normal. I was wheeled back to the waiting room where i was promptly taken by a nurse straight back to the ER. I was told i collapsed a lung and it was pressing up on an artery for my heart, they were amazed i was even walking. I was rushed to get a chest tube with suction and to pull the lung away from my chest wall. I was in that hospital for 6 days with that thing. I was then transferred to our huge trauma hospital for immediate surgery at 2AM. I was told because of where my lung was i had a 50/50 chance at surviving the surgery and making a full recovery. But I have 4 kids, a wife, dog, cat, life. I had to take the chance. THE SURGERY WAS A SUCCESS!!! I am still here!!! But everything is not as easy as just making it. 10 days and 3 days hard recovery at home also put my wife out of work for that time. We are broke. Flat broke. Rent isn't fully paid, bills are due, Christmas is less than 2 weeks away. How tf are we suppose to do anything for our 4 kids within this time!?!? Well 2 years ago i wanted to launch a project. I didn't end up launching it because i was worried i would let people down as a founder. Fast forward to today, I need to raise up some $$. So i am minting out some pixel art for .01 $SOL to help our family catch up! We have a GoFundMe and stuff, but i am much more of a person who wants to provide something and not just ask for handouts.
