Please pray for Charlie Kirk. I was there. Here is my experience: I decided to go to his event at UVU today. I live in Utah, maybe 45 minutes away. I was excited to confront him on the Epstein files and Thomas Massie's discharge petition. There were a LOT of people there. The event started at 12pm. I was trying to find the line to ask him my question. Turns out it was on the other side of the courtyard. So I made my way over there. The first question was about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and it went on for a while. Maybe 5-10 minutes. Finally the second question began. I had made my way over to the other side of the courtyard, directly to Charlie's right, maybe 50-100 feet away. I was right in front of some kind of cement wall or pillar. Just a couple moments later I heard a loud pop. I wasn't sure what it was. I quickly went behind the cement structure which I felt provided very good cover from any kind of threat. We were all wondering what the sound was, but were very suspicious. I started suspecting it was a gun. It seemed too loud and seemed to have come directly from the center of the crowd of people, so didn't feel like a firework. Then people started saying that Charlie was shot and had gone down. I of course knew then that it was a gunshot and a serious situation. I was crouched down with others, and we didn't know what to do. We weren't hearing any more shots, so my fears of a mass shooting were dying down a bit. I also knew there was a security team right on the scene that would spring into action. Maybe 30 seconds after the shot we finally decided to head through the nearest door. To reach the door we had to lose our cover but it seemed like the best option. Everyone ran. I didn't hear anymore shots. I made it outside and far away to my truck parked in visitor parking on the outskirts of campus. Pray for Charlie Kirk. He's young, a good man (you can disagree with him), with a family.
