Tomorrow marks the Spring Equinox, the first day of astronomical spring in the Northern Hemisphere! Increasing amounts of daylight until 21 June.Equinox in Latin means "equal night" but day and night were equal on the Equilux which was on 18 March. JR

Keep an eye out as there is a chance of seeing the northern lights over the next couple of nights 🎇 Sightings are most likely across Scotland where skies are clear but perhaps into northern England too 🌜

It's the warmest day of the year so far in Scotland today. 16.1C has been recorded at Lossiemouth in Moray.

[14:00] A cloudy, windy and mild day with mostly dry conditions bar spots of drizzle in the wind. A cold front will bring persistent rain to the W Isles and Skye then extending into Argyll and the NW Highlands and N Isles. Here's the earlier satellite and radar.
