Mary Hooper finishes second overall for MPC with a big PR, clocking 18:29.70 over 3.01 miles at Toro at the Coast Conference cross country finals, De Anza beats Hartnell 28-29 for the team title

Mary Hooper finishes seventh overall for MPC at the Pat Ryan Invitational in Santa Rosa, clocking a lifetime best of 19:44 over 5k. Marina grad Miguel Flores places 19th in the men’s race with a career best 23:04 over four miles

MPC, who has the longest current winning streak in the state at 15, has climbed to No. 7 in the California Community College Coaches football poll at 4-0. It will visit Redwoods this Saturday. It is one of seven teams in the National Division still undefeated.
