Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada spoke about the contradictions of human nature:
“Some people dream of having a swimming pool at home, while those who have one hardly ever use it. Those who have lost a loved one feel a profound sense of loss, while others often complain about their living relatives. Those without a partner long for one, while those who have one often don't appreciate it. The hungry would give anything for a meal, while the satiated complain about the taste of their food. Those without a car dream of owning one, while those who have a car are always looking for a better one.”
The key to happiness is gratitude: truly seeing and appreciating what we already have, and understanding that somewhere, someone would give anything for what we take for granted.

Sunday.
I bowed my knees in tears overwhelmed by the deep grief I feel over the global Church, especially here in the west.
Even now, I pray in tears that God would awaken us, purify us and focus us on those things that matter most in this critical hour.
Time is running out.

@azula_taetae @iluvpeachmango The world evolves but the same conflicts happen. History repeats itself, nothing new is made under the sun. Etc. humans will be humans, and our greed, hunger for power, etc will never change. That’s why the avatars role hasn’t diminished since Wan.
English

@BYPCLOUD @iluvpeachmango The world and bending is evolving, their knowledge is useless.
English

@NepSwirlRedux I actually just realized. I really don’t need to be trying to argue with you, like I’m wasting my time. You win GG’s bro
English

@BYPCLOUD You gonna need to watch the show every night for another TEN years of these are the arguments you bringing to the table. You spouting the same fabricated BS that every other Korra hater does. Grow up and move on nigga.
Or don’t, idgaf at this point. Now I’m done
English

@NepSwirlRedux I can’t wait for the new show to come out and show you that Korra F’d up😂they’re ofc going to downplay it and make it seem like it’s not all her fault like they do in TLOK to make ppl like you think she’s not a F up
English

@NepSwirlRedux Bc they didn’t know wtf he was trying to do. Are you sped? How can they warn her if they don’t know what he was doing, but they were trying to stick beside her and she casted them out bc she thought she knew better that’s the point in making.
English

@BYPCLOUD Tenzin didn’t say shit about Unalaq at all. He was just angry that he was incapable of teaching Korra matters of spirituality himself. Neither of them raised a serious objection so Korra had no reason to reject her only possible option for a teacher
English

@NepSwirlRedux I never said he did. I said she should’ve listened to her Father…that comes in every way. And he did warn her, he just didn’t know about what, but he knew his brother couldn’t be trusted which is why he didn’t want to leave her side.
English

@BYPCLOUD Again, snitching on your own lies. Tonraq ain’t say shit to warn Korra about Unalaq. All he did was try to interject on Unalaaq being her teacher and he had no real reason (to his knowledge) to do so. He didn’t actually think Unalaaq was evil, he just didn’t like him.
English

@NepSwirlRedux We can agree to disagree, there are small decisions she’s made to that were bad and selfish. That’s literally her character so if you think I’m lying then you don’t even know the character you’re trying to defending. She’s hardheaded and selfish those are her character flaws
English

@BYPCLOUD What bad decisions did she make? Her most controversial choice was leaving the portals open and not only did the people quickly adapt and move on, it brought back the Airbenders from the brink of extinction, which is undoubtedly a good thing from a moral and narrative standpoint
English

@NepSwirlRedux @iluvpeachmango 1. Don’t use the Lords name in vain, I will block u and end the whole debate rn. 2. Even still, that’s even more reason to lean on her loved ones and teachers. Not run away and join a fight club… what are u talking about 😂
English

@BYPCLOUD @iluvpeachmango Because she literally didn’t see herself as the Avatar anymore since she lost her connection to Raava, which as I just stated was her reason for going on her journey to begin with Jesus Christ…
English

@NepSwirlRedux Aang was a child and left with little to no guidance yet he rarely lashed out, but instead did everything on what the Monks taught him down to not wanting to kill. Korra was a teen who lived her life guided by ppl and had her past lives as well as teachers for knowledge
English

@BYPCLOUD And also you think her not relying on others to guide her every action or blindly accepting what her teachers tell her without question or pushback is a character flaw when you know damn well you don’t hold that against Aang
English

@NepSwirlRedux No but. When you’re faced with making a decision that’s something only the avatar can do, you would 1. Seem your past lives for advice, and 2. Trust the ppl who’s led you so far, not a nigga who gave you a brief history lesson and no text to back it up.
English

@NepSwirlRedux And even when told by a whole city that she’s wrong… she stands firm and says “oh well”
English

@NepSwirlRedux The reasons are that she does whatever she wants. She’s bad at decisions and doesn’t know how to trust the leadership that’s meant to train her. She rushes into problems head first without thinking about consequences then has to pick up the pieces after.
English

@NepSwirlRedux @iluvpeachmango You actually might be as dumb as you look. Bc even if that was the case it’s still valid, that was a FATHER and her TEACHER she ignored them so she could listen to a nigga she barely knew. Yes her uncle but she would still know her Father more than her uncle
English

@BYPCLOUD @iluvpeachmango Lmao, yeah, you were definitely gonna say that Korra was warned about Unalaaq lol.
And she didn’t hide away. She had lost her connection to Raava and went on a personal journey in an attempt to reconnect with her Avatar spirit.
English

@NepSwirlRedux @iluvpeachmango She lit didn’t want to be found. At the end of the episode after her fight. A guy ask what happened to the avatar, she says “I wouldn’t know” as she cut off communication to everyone that loves her and ducked off to the middle of nowhere. If that’s not hiding away then what is
English

@BYPCLOUD @iluvpeachmango “Hiding away” would imply that she gave up entirely and never wanted to be found. The only thing I got wrong was the timeframe that she was missing, but that doesn’t change that there was nothing she could have done to stop Kuvira’s rise to power.

@NepSwirlRedux @iluvpeachmango Regardless I would cook you in a questionnaire about anything avatar related if you really wanna go there.
English

@BYPCLOUD @iluvpeachmango You shoulda stayed to your word about not responding anymore lol.
The past lives were ALREADY GONE before she even met Zaheer. They’ve been gone since like the second half of season 2.
Yo ass did NOT WATCH THE SHOW 😭
