The first annual Backbone Awards are going to be late getting to the winners. We’re working through some casting challenges. The key part there is that we’re still working. Sorry for the delay. Updates here when we have them.

Ringo is an amazing artist working full-time as a Foundry Specialist on external contracts for sculpture commissions at the foundry, and Craig is a renowned sculptor (craigwedderspoon.com) and Professor of Art at UA.

We're working with Ringo Lisko and Craig Wedderspoon the metal foundry at @UofAlabama to make these awards as great as the work they honor.

We started with spray painted 3D printed awards as a proof of concept. Now check out these shots of the sculpted plasticine (in process) version that will be used to create the casting molds for the official aluminum and bronze awards. 🤩
