The Double engine government created two strong layers for
women in Uttar Pradesh - and both were essential.
First layer - the foundational and financial base by the central government:
Jan Dhan Yojana - a bank account in the woman’s name
Mudra Yojana - collateral-free capital
Ujjwala Yojana - clean fuel, eliminating smoke from homes
PM Awas Yojana - house ownership directly in her name
Second layer - the upper structure built by Yogi Adityanath’s government:
Mission Shakti - turned financial inclusion into real economic empowerment
ODOP (One District One Product) - connected her products to markets
Safe City infrastructure - stepping out is no longer driven by fear
Samuhik Vivah - dignified marriages without the burden of debt
One layer was incomplete without the other.
Both governments worked toward the same outcome for the same woman - and that outcome was achieved in Uttar Pradesh.
That is the real strength of a double engine government.
