Remember when they sold us the slogan, “Go paperless, save trees, save the planet”? Now we've gone digital, and it's consuming enormous amounts of water, destroying ecosystems, harming bees, and contributing to environmental damage on a scale paper never did.

Millennials got handed student debt and were called entitled for wanting a living wage. We came of age in a broken economy, survived a pandemic in our prime years, and now AI is taking our jobs. Yet people still ask why we’re not okay. We’ve been in survival mode for 20 years.

Donald Trump is a symptom of a deeper sickness of inequality, disillusionment, and division. The cure? Economic and social justice.

@RoKhanna @MattBGilliland That concentration of wealth makes it possible to produce goods at "economy of scale" levels. That is how I can buy a 55" flat panel T.V. at Walmart for 300 bucks on sale.

You are right that wealth and GDP measure different things. I did teach economics at Stanford as a lecturer Wealth is a stock, GDP is annual economic output. My point wasn’t to make a technical economics argument. My point was to illustrate the extraordinary concentration of wealth in America and the scale of inequality.

250 billionaires own half of California GDP. Taxing them at 2% would save healthcare for millions. Healthcare workers have already compromised from 5%. 85% of VC money came to California in Q1 2026. The capital flight argument is nonsense. The only reason to oppose this is if you want to protect the donor class. It's about protecting money in politics. I want a Democratic party that will stand for the working class. This is a moral test for our party. Whose side are you on? nytimes.com/2026/06/18/us/… via @NYTimes

Today, on Juneteenth, America marks the end of slavery. It was a real and dark part of our history. But Trump wants to rewrite that history and even honor Confederate traitors. It's a disgrace. America is stronger when we confront our history and work to be better.

If Kamala Harris had become president of the United States, Trump would be in prison, the strait of Hormuz would be open, Ukraine would be victorious, gas would be under $3 a gallon, and the U.S. would STILL be respected and supported around the world.

The 500 richest people on the globe added $336 billion to their fortunes on Monday, bringing their collective net worth to a record $13.3 trillion. Read that back. Our problem isn’t an issue of resources. Our problem is ever-expanding wealth inequality.

The unhinged and insane conspiracy theory that medication abortion is a threat to our waterways is no longer just a fringe right fever dream—it's now being pushed by Republican leaders. Let's be clear: Mifepristone is safe and effective.

Let’s run the numbers they rarely talk about. A $92,000 salary sounds impressive. After taxes? Around $59,000. That’s roughly $4,900 a month. Rent: $2,050 Car: $575 Insurance: $210 Utilities: $190 Phone: $95 Groceries: $460 Student loans: $390 You’re left with about $930. Then someone from a boomer generation that bought homes for a fraction of today’s prices tells you to “just budget better.”

@BladeoftheS The way you get those things is simple: raise taxes, add a 20% sales tax (VAT), reduce excess labor supply and excess demand (reverse immigration/deportation), add work requirements, and add health requirements for the 20% of people who use 80% of all healthcare.

This isn’t left vs right. It’s corrupt Republicans vs the people who earned their benefits. Demand members of Congress pledge: no benefit cuts, no higher retirement age, no privatization — fund Social Security by making millionaires pay their fair share. #HandsOffSocialSecurity

Trump puppets would rather raise your retirement age than raise taxes on billionaires who pay the same SS rate as middle‑class workers. That’s the scam. We can keep Social Security strong by asking the wealthy to pay more, not by cutting what you earned. #HandsOffSocialSecurity

30+ labor unions came together today. Actors, teachers, postal workers, pilots, carpenters, sailors, musicians, and so many more. They told me what we already know: Trump's attacks on labor have been stunning. Gutting collective bargaining agreements. Illegally firing NLRB members. Slashing OSHA inspectors. Packing the courts with anti-labor judges. Every single one of these attacks was deliberate. And every single one has a target: workers. We see it. We're fighting back. And with this coalition behind us, we are not done.
