One of the worst trends in The Discourse is the lazy-as-shit practice of 'under capitalism' as a sort of Explain Anything phrase. You see this *everywhere*. A problem exists, commentator smugly says "Such is life in late stage capitalism 😏" like that has any meaning whatsoever.

@PunishedBax @feelscuteman This is probably untrue. Years ago I saw some stats on abortion attitudes, and female support for abortion historically fluctuated between 40-60%. It suggested that in some cases, if women only could decide, abortion might be illegal. Depends on country too

if you assume that pro life positions come from a position of hatred then you should be barred from the discussion of abortion rights. you only exist to poison the well and ruin discourse
