“He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.” Rooted in faith, strengthened by prayer, and guided by purpose, we do our best, commit the rest to God, and trust His perfect will. “For those who honor Me, I will honor…” — 1 Samuel 2:30.

CHIEF KEFAS WUNGAK ROPSHIK SUBMITS GUBERNATORIAL NOMINATION FORMS AT WADATA PLAZA In a significant step in his quest to serve the people of Plateau State, Chief Kefas Wungak Ropshik on Monday formally submitted his gubernatorial nomination forms at the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, officially completing the process to contest for the governorship of Plateau State. Chief Ropshik arrived at the party secretariat accompanied by members of his campaign council, political associates, and scores of supporters and well-wishers who gathered to witness what many described as another defining chapter in his people-driven movement for a new Plateau. During the visit, the aspirant also met with the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Abdulrahman Mohammed, where discussions centred on party unity, internal democracy, and the future of Plateau under visionary leadership. Speaking shortly after submitting his forms, Chief Ropshik emphasized that his aspiration is not built on political ambition, but on proven capacity, service, and the courage to build. In one of the most memorable moments of his address, he shared a powerful analogy that resonated deeply with those present. “There is an old wisdom that says, if a man offers you a gift, first look at what he is wearing to know whether he can truly afford what he seeks to give. In the same way, when anyone offers to lead a people, it is only right to examine how they have built their own life, their character, their enterprise, and their capacity before entrusting them with the destiny of a state. Leadership is not what is proclaimed; leadership is what is proven.” He further noted that the journey to this moment has always been centred on the people of Plateau and their collective aspirations. “Today was not about a form, nor about a personal milestone—it was, above all, about the people of Plateau. Every decision, every sacrifice, and every aspiration in this journey is centred on building a Plateau where opportunity is abundant, enterprise is nurtured, and every citizen has the dignity to thrive.” With the successful submission of his nomination forms, Chief Ropshik’s governorship ambition now enters a new phase, one his supporters describe as a movement anchored on character, competence, enterprise, and an unwavering commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous Plateau State for generations to come.
