British Columbians are watching public spaces become divided by ancestry, and the NDP acts shocked that people are concerned.
Joffre Lakes is a provincial park, paid for and maintained by ALL taxpayers. Telling people they are excluded based on who they are is not reconciliation, it’s segregation dressed up as policy.
The NDP keeps pushing British Columbia further down a path where equal access, equal treatment, and common citizenship are being eroded piece by piece.
And every time British Columbians raise concerns, they’re told to stay quiet and accept it.

BC Parks says Joffre Lakes Provincial Park near Pemberton will close to non-Indigenous people from June 20-27, and Sept. 8-30 to allow First Nations to practice cultural and conservation traditions. Has been policy for several years. But could be contentious in current climate.

A lot of the frustration felt by Albertans is actually about the destructive ideology of the NDP’s mud hut wing currently running BC.
In the not too distant future, British Columbians are very likely to elect a common sense pro-growth government that will be broadly aligned with Alberta’s priorities.
We should lead, not leave, by working with our western neighbours to build big things together. That sure beats turning inward to become a landlocked statelet with no coastal access.
