@Callillionaire I like the IDEA of splat 4 having a 4 people idol group with an equal amount of male and female characters, but the "we NEED male idols!!!" thing is just complete rubbish. I want the game's female role and body type diversity to improve but I doubt it will ever happen that fast.

people somehow want to see less important girls than they already do, which is already very little. Not just little in Splatoon, but in games as a whole. For what? Because “male idols would be nice”? Because “I like men and I want men to thirst over LOL!!!”?

every time the male idols convo pops up it pisses me off more and more, because people fail to realize that Splatoon’s world and characters are not as female-dominated as they think it is, and making the most important characters men is like removing Splatoon’s load-bearing wall.

@SplatwtConfess Still to this day its the only one I have not 1000%. Coming from someone who did all palletes in side order hackless. Lets hope raiders is fun to fully complete.

@SplatwtConfess We got multiple octo plushies scattered across the grand fest grounds but not a single octarian lol. I guess the splatlands only has octolings not other octarians which is still weird and is never really explained. At least a few in the plaza and square would make sense.

@SplatwtConfess I do like some of the ideas though, what if they debated on which team to choose and you would only find out after the sneek peak which team they are on. That way people would actually choose not based on the idol?

@SplatwtConfess While I personally dislike the idea of joining a team purely for the idol, I think removing idols being on the teams themselves ruins a lot of the feel of splatfests. It just becomes more generic and faceless? idk how to exactly explain it. Also Idols would feel kind of useless.

@Callillionaire @launa_moe Yeah, that's why I included him in my orig post about men in power it could have easily have been a woman but nope another man.... I still wish we got to actually see shy-ho-shy.

@Callillionaire @Rachoogian The bar for good female rep is so low that some people genuinely think that a game is " discriminatory to men" simply for having more than the average female rep.

@Rachoogian mmm, I feel like people in this fandom really Want Splatoon to be uber-woke when it actually leaves a lot to be desired, so when you criticize it people get very defensive and don’t want to hear it.

@SplatwtConfess Something less talked about are frye's parents who, correct me if I'm wrong, have been mostly absent during her childhood given she was raised by her grandfather. She is also the oldest child so has her own family responsibilities I'm sure.

@SplatwtConfess The friends Vs family Vs solo splatfest also hints at their family relationships. Shiver does not mention family at all, frye loves her siblings and wants to spend time with them, big man wants some alone time to rest from his responsibilities (which includes work and family)
