Showing people what happened is “distressing.” Hiding it is “common sense.” Every authoritarian in history has used this exact logic — the truth is destabilizing, therefore the truth must be managed. For the second time in less than one month, President Trump has ousted a member of his Cabinet — announcing Attorney General Pam Bondi’s departure for a job in the private sector on Thursday.
