We now have an entire generation of high school students for whom #Y2K is a quick history lesson, despite its impact on society, economy, and culture. Today, new technologies of unknown impact also “happen” to our society. Shouldn’t kids learn the societal impact of new tech?

Chicago has a high concentration of people who identify into one or more historically underrepresented groups in #computerscience. The same can be said across the rest of Illinois. We need to stop tethering our work toward #CSforAll in IL to its zip codes, 606XX or otherwise.

I have never heard of any high school - anywhere - running AP Calc and AP Stats in the same room, at the same time, taught by the same teacher. That feels almost silly to write. So why is this such common practice in high schools that offer both AP Computer Science courses?
