A woman was legally required to kill her baby in the third trimester because the “commissioning parents” for the surrogacy demanded it, and threatened a lawsuit. The baby was missing two fingers, so the people purchasing this precious child demanded it be aborted, per their contract. This is eugenics. It’s murder. It’s a baby trade, and it needs to be criminalized.

You are more angry that I, a Protestant, assumed a Catholic priest was teaching Catholic doctrine, that I responded as such, and that I made Catholicism look bad, than you are that the priest is using his authority to keep precious, living human beings from being born. You minimized what the priest did to "a misunderstanding of Catholic doctrine," but twice in your thread accused me, a SAHM mom who has just a few minutes here and there to scroll and post, of knowing what even the trained Catholic priest did not and posting anyways in bad faith. @conservmillen Thank goodness the Church does not take a poll to decide moral teaching. We operate very differently. You decide things individually, even if you say “biblically” you cannot answer why all the “bible only protestants” were divided immediately. It doesn’t work.

Just got a phone call from a creative company (that I've worked with long ago in the past) that was entirely recorded, with the invite to "talk back" to what was clearly going to be an AI recorder. I hung up almost right away. Compare that to the phone call I'd received just a few minutes before, from a colleague & friend, with him offering a general word of encouragement & saying he was rooting for me. We stayed on the phone for a few minutes, catching up. Pope Leo can't write that AI encyclical soon enough...
