So, I got to the park and met the car still loading. I paid, put my load in the boot, and was ready to enter. The back door was open, and this guy was just standing there. I asked if he was one of the passengers, and he said yes. Two men were already seated inside. I told him, “Oya, enter na,” with a straight face. “You should go in. I’m sitting by the door.” He refused. I turned to the driver and asked him to open the boot so I could take my load. The guy asked why, and I explained. The driver calmly told him: “My brother, you’re supposed to sit inside. She’s a woman, she came last, and all the other passengers are men. She should sit by the door.” Before the driver could even finish, the guy started ranting. He went on and on about how a woman shouldn’t sit by the door, and because she’s a woman, he couldn’t sit in the middle because of her. I just stepped back, pressed my phone, and minded my business while they tried to reason with him. But the guy no gree. He kept spewing nonsense. At a point, I asked him, “Who made the rule that women cannot sit by the door?” He had nothing to say. The driver got tired and refunded everyone’s money. I wasn’t going to enter that car if it meant pleasing him. I moved to the next car and entered as the second passenger. Guess what? Even the guy he met by the door in that new car also refused to let him sit by the door… he dey front with driver and one person, I dey back with just two people. Some people sha get entitlement for head.

Left the house this morning with my Ijaw woman, looked at the parlour and I just weak…..“God abeg, see as Daberechi don scatter this sitting room wey I dey manage.” 😅 I tell myself: once work is done, I go rush house go clean everywhere before my ijaw woman comes back. Later in the day, as we dey round up, one colleague say make we go chop—him go sponsor. I jejely tell am, “Baba, abeg package takeaway. I get house runs… family stuff.”......Omo, baba no even argue at all. Collected the food, rushed home, and dived straight into cleaning. For like 30 minutes, na only Dabz building blocks I dey pack from every corner of the house. At some point, I even ask myself: “How these blocks take enter wardrobe wey we lock?” 🤦🏾‍♂️ Cleaning wey I think say na quick 30 minutes, turn 45 minutes full work. But at least, everywhere don clean. Then my Ijaw woman came back, saw the house and she happy well well. I just dey feel like responsible husband of the year 🏆 Now guess what…..Less than 30 minutes later, this same DABERECHI quietly enter room, bring out her building blocks, open the whole bag….....and boom!......she poured everything at the middle of the sitting room just to play. Just like that.....my entire cleaning journey......scattered in a flash!..... 😭 God why me??!!!..............😪😪😩😩😩😭😭😭 I no dey clean again… till further notice.
