Heathrow proudly partners with over 1,100 supply chain suppliers – 60% of which are SMEs – to drive growth and support over 16,400 jobs across every UK nation and region. One of those SMEs is @ChargeBox, based in Chiswick, London – they’re providing fast powered charging stations, designed and built in the UK. Following an initial pilot in Terminal 2 they have deployed units across all four of our terminals. ChargeBox’s next-generation FASTHub-powered charging stations have grown in scale, fast! The results are outstanding for our passengers: 🔋 Over 7,000 charges daily, forecast to exceed 2.7 million annually 😄 Significant improvement (x5) in Heathrow’s passenger satisfaction scores for passenger charging - a remarkable result by any benchmark 🛠️ And a 90% reduction in engineering callouts, meaning a more efficient product and service for our passengers As Justin Stark, CCO of ChargeBox said “This would never have happened without Heathrow’s willingness to back local suppliers. This collaboration is an excellent example of how Heathrow's SME partnerships are helping us improve service, drive innovation, and support UK-based suppliers in delivering world-class solutions”.
