It's interesting that @IBMwatsonx, despite getting an early start on AI with Watson AI platform, never really managed to make much of it. Just a shadow of its past.

#Microsoftfabric Python notebook was updated to #duckdb 1.1.3 which means reading abfss became a bit simpler (you still needs to define an environment variable though os.environ['azure_storage_token']= notebookutils.credentials.getToken('storage')

✅ Continuing my unstructured to structured data blog series using #MicrosoftFabric AI Services. Blog coming soon, where I extract invoice data from German medical invoices into a tabular dimensional form - all using Azure OpenAI integration in Fabric. No extra subscriptions necessary.

@PawarBI I am very interested in it. We are currently using Document Intelligence to extract healthcare PDF files. I am looking forward to seeing how it compares to the Open AI method you're going to blog on.

@PawarBI Yes. Another format that is missing is Excel. It's used a lot in enterprises. It's not even supported in a notebook when we drag and drop xls(x) files. At least with Synapse, we could click on an Excel file and it was opening Excel online.

@Christian_SQL Technically it is supported but it is either being rolled out or there is a bug.. but hopefully soon. I would also like to see the metadata, filtering etc too, not just the preview.

Can we have a parquet file viewer in Fabric? That would be useful. #Fabric
