@MapleLeafs practicing at Prince of Wales rink this weekend and I noticed your contractors unscrewed a plastic plate over Johnny Bower’s signature and PAINTED OVER IT!!! Why?? Plus you installed cedar benches in the small dressing room and cheap fake wood in the other??

@BonnieCrombie @visitsauga Go skate where…? You tore down the outdoor roofed rink Chic Murray. Where do we play hockey now? Where? On the dangerous river or pond? Build us a replacement roofed rink as compensation. Why are our recreational tax dollars providing way less than Toronto and Brampton?

@msevrtt @thistle1176 @dralexpatel You can make as many beds as you want. Where are you going to get the trained nurses to manage ICU when it takes 1-2 years to learn? The more host jumping the more mutations is other issue. ICUs nearly full and past LTC issue. What’s your strategy?

@CipherLou666 @thistle1176 @dralexpatel That was never the intention. The intention was to focus maximum protection on LTC homes where more than 80% of deaths happened. Ontario government failed. Mortality rate for rest of society is comparable to the flu. ICU/hospital capacity should have been expanded last summer.

Now that we have hit 900 ICU cases it’s being asked why we aren’t in triage. It’s because we’ve been able to create capacity through hospital transfers and cancelling ORs and other procedures. It’s a form of triage for sure and delaying these hurts. Trading one issue for another

@msevrtt @thistle1176 @dralexpatel I mean if the strategy was to let the virus infect everyone letting nature run it’s course that would be the number. Average yearly flu death in Ontario is ~500. You as health leader - what do you suggest?

@CipherLou666 @thistle1176 @dralexpatel Are you including in your number people that have been vaccinated and/or already had covid? LTC fully vaccinated and IFR 0.05% for anyone under 70. Less dangerous than a flu. I’m not worried at all...

@CP24 200,000+ in small pro shops daily is the issue. Poor contact tracing & asymptomatic spread is hard to link golf when ~500 daily cases. Over 8 times now /w deadly variant, Indian on the way and worse ones after that. Vaccine race needing 75+% dosed by July or screwed long while

Sad to hear the city of Mississauga is closing the Chic Murray outdoor covered Rink. My grandson played there. Not many outdoor hockey rinks left in the GTA. thepointer.com/article/2020-1…
