At last. Split season. Everyone finally arrives at the same destination. Four years on. We fought for fixtures & kept the faith. Looking forward now to a better GAA for all players. Thanks to all who stuck with it & to @sports_db who got the ball rolling! #FixedTheFixtures #GAA

@mcenteejohn 2021 will not be ideal 4 club or county with tighter windows available for both fixture schedules because of C-19. No ones fault there. What is fundamentally important for clubs is that split season gets passed at Congress next month for 2022 so we all have certainty beyond that

Former Cork Chair Tracey Kennedy was lead voice against the transparency motion, Congress 2018. Lack of transparency & accountability in decision making in #GAA leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe if she brings a gender balance motion & sees then who votes for/against...Oh wait!

As 2020 draws to a close we want to wish all our members a peaceful, safe and happy Christmas. We welcome the continuation of the split season in 2021 and we will continue to lobby on your behalf until the split season becomes enshrined in GAA rules hopefully in early 2021

Fairly grim reading for @Doiregaa supporters in @IndoSport by @JoeBrolly1993 on the County finances. The scenario painted is a self fulfilling prophecy. Many/most other counties on same road to nowhere? CPA flagged crisis concerns but various pundits derided warnings #Cassandra

@gaelicplayers proposal is a positive move & whilst some will bemoan movement of All Ireland’s to July as a promotional own goal, the benefits of certainty with designated periods for both club & IC players far outweighs that loss. It’s not club v county, it’s club & county 👏👏

Breaking: GPA drafting proposal to GAA to shorten the season for intercounty players. Calls for shorter i-co season from 2021 to ease what it says are ‘unsustainable demands’ for their members. Suggest I-co season begins in Feb & ends July -23 weeks in total Full story @RTEgaa

@SeoirseBulfin 2/2 We fully support interco game and recognise the huge importance it plays in promoting our games. This is not club v county, as interco players are loving being back immersed in clubs too. It’s about balance for all. And to finish, all our work is happily done voluntarily ☺️

1/2 Opportunity lost by @ClubPlayerAssoc perhaps? A number of weekends into club action and no real publicity of the club scene (who they proport to represent) from them. No game photos. No Player profiles. No Player interviews etc. Can things be improved, of course but

@SeoirseBulfin 1/2 @ShaneSaint views on this thread equate with ours, we are not a media group, but a lobby group. Club scene is buzzing at present because the focus is on it & everyone is there. Given enough space in calendar this could be more frequent if a better balance was afforded 2 clubs
