Our shelter system is overwhelmed, and the city is looking at a sprung structure to address this crisis.

I saw the "million man march" crew at Parliament. They were off by about five zeros. And the ones who were there got totally freaked out by the queer and trans youth who showed up. As always, when confronted bullies turn to snowflakes.

Politicians should be paying attention to what happened yesterday. Despite the rage baiting, despite the misinformation, despite how easy it is to fear difference, bigotry was easily outnumbered across Canada. Even in the western provinces. Transphobia is not gaining traction. It's losing. Betting your electoral fortunes on using it as a tool? Maybe look around, give your head a shake, and realize that's the losing strategy. #nospaceforhate

All week the race haters stood outside parliament threatening people and insulting Indigenous legislators.
They had a free ride from @OttawaPolice.
Then @theJagmeetSingh stood up to them.

Some young Gen Z asked me to help carry one of their banners.
It was an honour.
