AVOID THE AREA: Horton Vista Dr and Anderwood Forest Dr. The intersection is currently closed due to a vehicle accident, please avoid the area to allow emergency crews to work.

RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE - 16100 BLK ARCHWAY DR There were no occupants home at the time of the fire and there are no injuries to report. Fire is under control and remains under investigation with the fire marshal's office.

HCFMO investigators are on scene assisting @CommunityVFD with a fire in the 15000 block of Sierra Valle. Firefighters found one persons deceased during search. Two others were evaluated and release on scene, one for minor burns to the hands, and the other for smoke inhalation.

HCSO, @HCpct5, Community Volunteer Fire Department, and @aliefisd Police are conducting a large-scale active shooter attack scenario today. Residents may notice a heavy first responder presence until 1 p.m. in the area of Bellaire Blvd at Addicks Clodine Rd in West Harris County.

There is NOT a gas leak impacting our area at this time. There is not a danger to the public and no further actions need to be taken in our area. A Reverse 911 alert was activated by another agency due to a minor gas leak in the Fulshear area. This does not impact our district.

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the Line of Duty Death (LODD) of Firefighter/EMT Nahit Oral. Firefighter Oral suffered a medical emergency following a department training event on Thursday March 9th, 2023.

HCFMO investigators are on scene assisting @CommunityVFD with an apartment fire in the 6400 block of Sierra Blanca Dr. No injuries reported at this time. Red Cross has been notified. The origin and cause investigation is underway.

We responded to a residential fire early yesterday morning on Tamayo Dr. Last night, we had a dog visit us twice who unbeknownst to us belonged to the victim's of the house fire. Early this morning, we were able to locate the dog and reunite it with the family. #hounews

We are proud to announce Max as the first Honorary Sheriff's Office K9. Welcome to the family, Max! Max heroically saved his owner by alerting first responders to her location, after being lost for 3 days. Max had no food or water, yet he refused to leave his owner's side. #Hero

RESIDENTIAL FIRE - DOG RESCUED Camino Del Sol Dr @ Addicks Clodine Rd CVFD is on scene of a residential fire on Camino Del Sol Dr. Fire mainly located in exterior workshop. Fort Bend Fire Marshals Office investigating.

UPDATE 1701: One confirmed fatality of a suspected elderly male. Investigation continues by @hcfmo and the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office. Our prayers go out to the victim's family and friends for peace and healing during this difficult time.

RESIDENTIAL FIRE - 13627 Sunstream Ct CVFD is on scene of a residential fire in the Westwind neighborhood. The fire has been extinguished at this time. Harris County Fire Marshal is en route to investigate. Further details pending. #hounews
