i wanna add to this and say, i’ve struggled a lot with labeling myself the past year and nothing has really felt 100% right but non-binary, trans masculine and lesbian feels the most correct for me at the moment.

i’ll say it. a lot of men treat masculine women and non-men as a threat. that’s why i hardly see butches in minecraft events. also i’ve been identifying as a nonbinary lesbian for the past couple months and i feel like now it’s important that is known. representation matters.

@LazyLeya they did invite women, but only a depressingly low number in comparison to the amount of men. but in all of this, he also forgot to invite a single black content creator. and yet people are more focused on one of the missing groups. we need to talk about the black people, too!

@CoreQueen_ it's sad because all my tl is doing now is giving shoutouts to women, when in reality this is a genuine issue. it doesn't feel productive, and in it all, we once again forgot about black people. I hope this tweet will be seen by enough people so we can talk about this as well!

@rayderLMAO as a server owner myself, it's hard to find black streamers because of how we never give them any attention. it genuinely sucks! I only hope that with time and effort, we can ensure everyone feels welcome regardless of their skin tone or gender

@alliumseed what we really need to do is consistently add pressure, but every time feminism is brought up online, people turn it into a trend or a shoutout session. this will pass in a day and people will move on, I just wish that wasn't the case

the lack of representation in bigger SMPs is a genuine issue, but I see a lot of people take this issue and lead it to a massive shoutout session. while the shoutouts and focus on marginalized creators is great, it's important to keep the focus on (more in replies!)

@beca4leafclover I will of course do my part to ensure the marginalized genders around me are seen and included (I'm also part of that group so it's not hard for me lol), but at the end of the day that's nothing compared to the power the bigger streamers have. I only hope they will follow suit

@beca4leafclover the issue is that we've been having this conversation for YEARS now, yet we still see QSMP pop off with a depressing amount of women invited. I'm an SMP owner, most my servers have majorly women in them, but what difference does that make when the issue is with the larger ccs?
