If the person says that he bought the land, ask for Deed of Assignment, Deed of Conveyance or Irrevocable power of Attorney. 3. If the person says the land was shared between him and someone else, ask for Deed of Partition. 4. If the person says that he is holding the land in trust for a minor, ask for Deed of trust. 5. If the person says that the land is a family land, ask for written consent of the family head and principal members of the family or the family resolution. 6. I have spoken with his wife. He was working for his boss to sell some items and he used part of the money to cater for his pregnant wife’s medical needs. When the wife was due for delivery, he used the rest of the money to settle hospital bills. They have a 7months old baby and the boss insists that until the money is paid in full, he is not dropping the case. He has been in prison since last year and the case is coming up on Thursday in Ikorodu. By God’s grace, we will see to how the money will be paid and he would be released that day.
