I auditioned for about 200 things this year and booked 2. That's considered a pretty standard ratio, too. I do think it's emotionally more difficult when you're doing *fewer* auditions earlier in your career, because it's easier to get attached

Rejection is part of the job. And that’s okay! It’s not the end of the world if you don’t book that thing. Or the next. Just take a deep breath, at worst take a few days and then keep going! Actors audition for 100s of things and don’t get the part so many times. And if rejection after rejection takes too much of a toll… maybe need to step back and reevaluate why you’re doing this. Why are you acting? To EXPRESs or IMPRESS?
