#CryptYr10 made slime in #CryptChemistry yesterday from PVA glue and borax solution, then tested its properties as part of their work finding out about addition polymers!

#CryptY13 sat the RSC Olympiad in #CryptChemistry at the end of January, they have achieved an amazing number of awards. 🥇Gold (top 8% of entrants) awards for:  Freddie J, Joshua S, Theo VB, Joshua B & Daniel E. The cohort also achieved 20🥈Silver awards & 16 🥉 Bronze awards!

Christmas came early today with the gift of Atomic Models from #CryptYr9. They are excellent and have made this #CryptChemistry teacher very happy! What amazing #CryptInnovation they have shown in response to this #CryptChallenge!

Today in #CryptScience we were looking at thermal decomposition. #CryptY8 were showing lots of #CryptConfidence as they developed their dexterity in this fiddly practical!

In #CryptScience #CryptYr8 have been investigating the link between the volume of air in a jar, and how long a candle will burn for.

#CryptYr8 have started their first #CryptChemistry topic of the year with a great practical. They tested the pH of a range of substances. Merits were awarded to the whole class for showing #CryptConfidence and teamwork!
