@ChrisHerrington My office at Watkins & Chelsea area became a very scary place 3 years ago & feels much safer the last 6 months. My friend was robbed at gunpoint and had car broken into twice in 24-25. They live just west of Grace St Luke, a nice neighborhood. Moved because they didn,t feel safe.

The senator is not being honest. He has a lot to not be honest about ($28 million a month). The task force only began ramping up in October 2025. The prior local combined efforts were already on track to accomplish the reduction—like cities that followed the same formula locals chose in Memphis—actually had better numbers. The senator's boasting and primping at the US Capitol was an embarrassment to Memphis. The $28 million monthly cost was Brent's folly, and he should suffer for it like small enterprises have.
