I was taken advantage of at my very first con back in 2017 when I was just 14 years old, which resulted in being groomed for roughly 3 years. Cons really should be 18+ only, not because we hate minors, but because we want to keep them safe.

@AHhhhhh02197450 @doomershark Nautilus was based off well a Nautilus, the animal, and meant to have bright colors like any tropical fish does. This is the one that actually was based to have bioluminescence, as he do indeed glow

@AstralMelodia I also sometimes have to move people around in line, like someone had a money issue and has to wait a little longer, and gets moved farther to the back of the line, and again everyone know about that XYZ has been moved and XYZ has now been placed closer to the front

@AstralMelodia 1/2 I usually work on a few commissions at once, so what I do is have everyone in my queue in a group chat, so that people who are currently getting stuff worked on get their updates, and it also just shows everyone else that “hey I’m getting stuff done and things are moving”

My 2 cents:
- Charge only when starting a new comm
- Monthly updates to all clients at minimum
- Queue should not exceed a year's worth of work
- Dont be a jack of all trades, master of none
- Ask for feedback regarding your business practices frequently among peers

Why can't the people I commission just do the fucking art I'm so sick of waiting months and months and months for commissions. It's Infuriating as much as it is disappointing because some of them I looked forward to commissioning again but after this wait, NEVER again

@AstralMelodia It also lets the rest of the people in line know when the are next in line or how long until their turn, I can update everyone at once, and if something does come up that may stall/ slow down work, I can also let everyone know.

yes my art has improved. but i never put less effort on any of my comms. i wouldve redrawn it for free, but not if you bash my art like this. it feels so backhanded ;w;
