The next phase of reconstruction of Poplar St. in Casper is set to begin. A $12.8 million contract has been awarded to Oftedal Const. Inc., to redo Poplar and a portion of W. Collins, between W. Collins and CY Avenue. The contract completion date is Sept. 30, 2028. #wyoroad

The rollercoaster of abnormally warm conditions back to reality continues this week. A strong cold front will pass through Wednesday night, which will drop temperatures by about 10 to 25 degrees F.

Here's a look at the highest gusts recorded across the area today. The peak gust was 109 mph along I-25 south of Chugwater. The 92 mph gust measured at the Cheyenne airport broke the all time record (since mid 1990s) for the station's strongest measured wind gust. #wywx #newx

Chunks of snow fences are blowing across the highway frontage road south of Chugwater, Wy. I've measured close to 100 mph winds today and that gust that hit 11 miles S of Chugwater around 2:05PM was WELL OVER that. Didn't get it measured @NWSCheyenne @KNEBStormCenter #wywx

I-25: Road closed both directions between exit 126 (south Douglas) and Cheyenne due to extreme blow over risk, with gusts 80+ mph. Closed to ALL box trailers and high profile vehicles. Passenger vehicles are permitted to travel. Current wind gusts between 60-74 mph. #wyoroad
