I’m not sure why alot of people are linking this to fraud. Gift cards are a very convenient alternative to online purchases, this has nothing to do with yahoo yahoo as a lot of people on here claim. For example, it is difficult getting a card to work with the Playstation store to purchase games and subscriptions, purchasing gift cards allow your fund your PS wallet easily. There are many other similar cases.

Since when did giftcards become a measure of exchange that apps build their entire strategy on exchanging gift cards? Is there something I am missing?
