Residents have been getting calls requesting funds for the National Volunteer Firefighters Assoication. This is not an organization that is associated with any of the fire departments in Darlington County. Our fire departments do not do fund raisers by phone.

I’m never complaining about a fire alarm again. On @foxcarolinanews at 5 @jasonhurdich recounts his scary moment when firefighters burst into his home a few years ago to alert him of a fire. He’s one of SC’s many deaf citizens. He just got a special smoke alarm to wake him up.
