@SJWoodrup @JasonBoyerWLOS Great question Simon! I can’t speak on the NC area, but for north GA, a freeze has serious impacts on agriculture (e.g. blueberries and peaches). This is especially detrimental after a warm spell and plants have begin to blossom. Can really take a toll on the harvest in the fall.

The tornadic supercell that just produced a strong tornado near Newnan, Georgia, has traveled across 4 states for a total of over 400 miles since forming around 3:00 PM CDT in southeast Louisiana. A truly wild journey.

A few Hurricane Dorian records: - At 185 mph, it is tied for the 2nd strongest in the Atlantic basin. Only Allen (1980) was stronger at 190 mph. - The 185 mph landfall is tied with the Labor Day hurricane (1935) for strongest wind speed at landfall in the Atlantic basin.
