F*ck writing rules. Genuinely. In my opinion, there are no rules when it comes to writing. You want to use more adverbs because it suits your writing style? Do it. You want to use dialogue tags other than “said”? Do it. You want to tell instead of show in certain paragraphs because you think it works better? Do it. You want lengthy setting/appearance/weather descriptions? Do it. You want a prologue and/or epilogue? Do it. It’s your book. No one else is writing it & no one else knows your story better than you. Write it your way❤️.
