DIGZ PREFAB

I live in the burbs of SF. Used to work and live in the City. No one in these parts will go into SF unless it's a must for work. A friend had the back window of his car shattered and the back seats torn out while in a parking garage. The financial district and market street are ghost towns. All the lunch places/small businesses that serve the area are going under. Some other folks I know moved out after a homeless guy passed out and blocked the entrance to their building. They couldn't open the door to get out. So, they called the police who asked if he was dead. They said no. The police then told them they would only come to clear a dead body. Last time I went into the City we had to barricade in the lobby of the St. Francis Hotel at Union Square. There was a massive crowd outside drinking and dancing in their underwear to celebrate SantaCon and God knows what else. We went to dinner at Farallon, a wonderful restaurant that has since shuttered. To get to dinner, we passed a line of police in full riot gear. When we got to the restaurant the door was locked and we were let in by a host, who quickly locked the door behind us. So, yea. It's horrible. I've always loved the City. Probably always will. I was born there. My family were gold miners in the 1800s. My grandfather always called his mother A kind-hearted San Francisco Gal. San Francisco is a beautiful Gal herself. And now she's drugged out of her mind and laying in the gutter covered in vomit and her own feces. Either she'll sober up or she'll die there. And the police will only come for her once she's dead. Breaks my heart.
