Well, I've tried twice to post the video but apparently it is not going to show up. It can be viewed on my "Steve Divine KCBD" Fb page here: facebook.com/reel/823429394…
Significant change in our weather unfolding. Cooler Wednesday, then much cooler Thursday and cooler still Friday. Jacket weather! The big story, though, is the rain outlook. Current data continues to support our forecast of significant and widespread rain. Details in the video.
A cold front moved into the NW KCBD/FOX34 area this morning, then remained stationary until 6 PM or so. It resumed moving SW, picking up speed, moving through Lubbock around 10 PM, give or take. Here in a bit I'll have more on the significant weather changes coming our way.
Low temps Sunday 4/19. Lubbock's site of weather record (airport) 36°, not on maps which show lows recorded by the TT Mesonet. Of note, 31° NW corner Tech campus, 33° Reese Center, 33° Spur mesonet station, 31° Denver City, Seagraves, & Lamesa, and 30° at Welch & O'Donnell. #kcbd
This evening on Doppler, while strong storms were over eastern KCBD area and virga falling elsewhere, a few radar echoes moved the "wrong way" (opposite the showers). Likely flocks of birds, one originating over extreme NE Terry County, the other S side of Lubbock.
