Producer Shuhei Matsumoto says Street Fighter 6 will have a 10-year life cycle and the next game isnt being consider right now “I personally want Street Fighter 6 to be running and operating for as long as possible. When we initially kicked off the project, our internal goal was to hit that 10-year life cycle. But that's why we’re working so hard to improve the quality of the game and to make sure that the characters we introduce are attractive and appealing and the question regarding Street Fighter 7, that's not something we’re really thinking about right now. We’re seeing a lot of new players coming into the game right now and we want to continue catering to that particular audience. So Street Fighter 6 and maintaining its longevity is the main focus.”

I quit. Offense was made incredibly easy to welcome new players, and defense is incredibly weak and binary. There's no hit confirming, no guaranteeded checks on neutral skips. Doesn't matter if it's a platinum or a 2kMR, you block a medium into Dr, you're guessing.

I just don't have fun going to the corner after one interaction and have gamble between:
a) kill myself (reversal)
b) kill myself (throw tech)
c) kill myself (block)
And then when i get to high ranks the gameplay loop is the same anyway

I officially quit after the Sagat patch. I'm not a fan of how homogenized the game is due to the mechanics in the game. I think it's weird that the things that are in S1 and S2 of SFV that we hated are in this game. I think the game is a good product, but not a good -

Wait, do people really not like Season 4 DLC Street Fighter 6? Being all new characters is a good thing and can make things more interesting.
I see people was complaining AKI was the only new character in DLC then they dropped a brand new characters for the year and people not happy?
In fact, have we ever had all new characters in a Season Pass for a fighting game before?
(Would love to see Cody or Balrog in Season 5 though)
