@rainbeau_lo Sad you had to go through this violent, in your face racism. We most definitely have racism in this society, usually institutional and subtle. You are exactly right about acknowledgement and furthermore the need to be actively anti-racist.

Racism 100% exists in our society. This morning, at 9am, a man threw a broken vodka bottle (which he had accidentally dropped) at my head as he had an issue with "my people."
It is only by acknowledging it's existence that we can address the problems & work towards solutions.

One astonishing thing though, and then to bed. I had NO idea so many white people cared so greatly about 'racism' & believe they have the right to not be offended. Because you see we poc have been told that racism doesn't exist, & getting offended is childish. Glad that ain't so
