Either way, mental strength is not just hoping that nothing ever goes wrong. It is believing that we have the capacity to handle it if it does.

@Dr_AustinOmondi @_fels1 As they say, there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics. Just partnerships of conveniences when interests converge. Someone said "husiweke siasa kwa roho, weka kwa lungs ndio ukikohoa, unaitema".

@_fels1 Those who have been following Gachagua were this week dumbfounded when he said he wants to work with Ruto even after canceling their stupid and weak-link friends.

Whenever I see people investing their emotions in politics to the point of wanting to cancel and fight each other I just laugh. Your leaders will reconcile but you will carry an eternal enemy for no reason.

Here is a chronology of events surrounding the Kenyan sub-standard fuel scandal (MT Paloma consignment and related developments, March–April 2026 (some are allegations): March 9, 2026: A high-level crisis meeting chaired by Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei (under the National Security Council Committee) directs the State Department for Petroleum to source emergency fuel supplies outside the standard Government-to-Government (G2G) framework, citing looming shortages linked to the escalating Iran conflict and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. March 25, 2026: Petroleum Principal Secretary Mohamed Liban invites One Petroleum Limited (a local firm linked to Mombasa businessman Mohamed Jaffer) and Oryx Energies to supply emergency consignments of approximately 60,000–68,000 metric tonnes of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) RON 93 each. A contract for the One Petroleum shipment is reportedly signed around this date. March 26, 2026: PS Mohamed Liban writes to Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) Managing Director Esther Ngari requesting a temporary waiver on the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) and key quality parameters (including oxygenates, manganese, sulphur, and benzene) for the incoming consignment, citing urgent supply security needs amid Gulf disruptions. March 27–29, 2026: MT Paloma (Marshall Islands-flagged vessel, originally rerouted from a South Africa-bound voyage via Angola/Mozambique) docks at the Port of Mombasa and begins offloading the ~68,000 MT consignment imported by One Petroleum. The fuel fails Kenyan KS EAS 158:2025 standards on multiple parameters. March 28, 2026: Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry Lee Kinyanjui writes to Energy and Petroleum CS Opiyo Wandayi granting conditional waivers on the non-compliant parameters for the MT Paloma cargo. Six conditions are attached (e.g., destination inspection, commingling with compliant stock, importer indemnity to KEBS). March 30, 2026: MT Paloma departs Mombasa after offloading. (A parallel ~60,000 MT consignment arranged via Oryx Energies is later blocked.) April 2–3, 2026: Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) conducts raids and arrests senior officials amid allegations of stock data manipulation to justify emergency imports, overpricing (the MT Paloma fuel landed at ~KSh 198,855/tonne vs. ~KSh 140,111/tonne for compliant G2G cargo), and facilitation of substandard fuel. Those affected include PS Mohamed Liban, EPRA Director-General Daniel Kiptoo, Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) MD Joe Sang, and Deputy Director Joseph Wafula. The officials later resign. April 5, 2026: Official letters documenting the waiver requests and approvals surface publicly on X. CS Wandayi publicly condemns cartels and extortion amid the Middle East crisis, highlights the price disparity (potential ~KSh 43/litre premium at the pump), and states Kenya has adequate stocks (16 days petrol, 19 days diesel). April 7, 2026: CS Wandayi directs One Petroleum Limited to immediately withdraw the controversial consignment and prevent it from entering the Kenyan market. One Petroleum announces it has complied following government consultations; the cargo will not be distributed. April 8, 2026: Reports emerge of a “fresh twist” involving a second suspect shipment halted in Mombasa (Sh12 billion scandal framing). Government signals plans to surcharge importers to recover losses and launches a broader review of petroleum product management systems. April 9, 2026: Oil marketers and industry executives disclose that the recalled Sh11.8–12 billion controversial petrol consignment cannot be fully withdrawn or removed from circulation as ordered, because it has already been discharged and commingled into KPC pipelines and common storage systems (KPC does not maintain segregated tanks for same-grade fuels). Fears mount that portions of the off-spec fuel (high in sulphur, benzene, and manganese) may already have reached retail stations and motorists’ tanks. CS Wandayi and KPC remain silent on the exact fate of the cargo. April 10, 2026 (ongoing): The pre-approved commingling strategy (originally outlined in the March 28 waiver to dilute excess manganese via blending with compliant stock and upcoming consignments) is now under intense public and investigative scrutiny amid the failed recall. Warnings circulate about potential vehicle damage (clogged fuel systems, engine deposits, reduced performance, and costly repairs from excess manganese, sulphur, and benzene). Investigations continue with DCI liaising internationally; President William Ruto vows to dismantle fuel cartels. A sector-wide audit, possible surcharges, and re-export considerations remain active amid ongoing questions about partial distribution and economic impact. #fuelscandaltruths

@MarioNawfal Pakistan as one of the mediators of the conflict should be neutral or at least appear to be neutral to all conflicting parties to avoid any accusation of bias and render trust to the mediation process. Diplomacy is not easy.

The Facebook algorithm favors me because of the high engagement on my X, and I only started posting actively this February. I make approximately $25 a day on Facebook. If I combine my earnings with those of Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, I make six figures a month in Ksh,far more than what an OCS earns in a month.

When it comes to customer service, I think NCBA Bank stands out for its commitment to personalized support. At a time when most big brands have replaced people with bots, NCBA ensures that their customer service remains human, responsive, and available 24/7.

The people of Nyaribari Chache receiving their share of NG-CDF from Zaheer Jhanda. Funny thing is the road from which they are receiving handouts from, its pathetic. When one of them will need to transport her farm produce or get to hospital, probably the handout will come in.
