@BannedDino Like he spent all these years working on the games, designing monsters/their fights while watching Fujioka and Ichinose inject fun and whimsy and silliness into the series, and then when given the reigns for his "next generation of Monster Hunter" vision it became all serious

@BannedDino Not dragging him, but ever since Tokuda took the role Fujioka used to fill the series definitely lost a lot of the "quirkiness". Tokuda has being around the series since early days but he seems to care more for "ecology and realsim", no idea why he seems to disdain the goofiness

Likely just me, but I feel some of the silliness in MH has been missing as of late or taking a back seat for other things.

Do you feel anything has been lacking in Monster Hunter recently? When I say "recently," I'm not strictly talking about 6th Gen. It can also be 3rd Gen, 4th Gen, and or 5th Gen.

@GondeLiray @SHANKSTOPME Exactly. FMA presents stakes and threat and suspense without the crutch of killing off a main character. The people wanting Oda to kill a straw hat would watch FMA and go "it has no stakes" because of that

The weird frustration of not losing but still having Pokemon faint in Legends:ZA online cause someone whose name is just "Jayden" keeps sniping you when you're fighting someone else.
Like "why am I getting targeted by this kid whose mom named him switch account"

I do wish I was born far more androgynous looking, when I did cosplay I was pretty jealous of some people for being blessed with easily malleable looks while I have to go all out to even look half as convincing. But despite my own perfectionism that doesn't invalidate who I am~

As noted in the pin, I am not sure if its just how my brain works but I generally don't feel that need to be defined beyond "I am me". But at same time I do want my identity respected. Sometimes "me" wants to be seen as she, other times he. But never only one exclusively

@chara_betty @ChronoKatie Where as the Tear memories in TotK if viewed in the wrong order actively spoil the big surprise. The twist is an unknown, and the tears can spoil the twist. There is no "we know the ending of these flashbacks already" in TotK so the "see Memories any order" just doesn't work

@chara_betty @ChronoKatie I think personally my issue was the story delivery. The "see any memory in any order" worked in BotW because the story was told in retrospect. You already know the "ending" of the flashback stories, the memories just filled in the details.

Tears of the Kingdom is better than breath of the wild in every single way and people dislike it only because it didn't give them the same thrill Botw gave them, because it obviously builds on botw
