Over a 5 year aggregate 2017-21, BJS data shows White offenders committed MORE total violent crimes against Asians than Black offenders. It’s pure data bias.

According to Bureau of Justice Statistics NCVS data (e.g., Criminal Victimization reports around 2018-2019), Black offenders accounted for ~27.5% of violent crimes against Asian victims while White offenders accounted for ~24.1%. With Blacks at ~13.6% of the U.S. population and non-Hispanic Whites at ~59%, this translates to Blacks committing violent crimes against Asians at a substantially higher per capita rate—roughly 5x that of Whites. FBI hate crime data shows a higher share of reported anti-Asian bias incidents involving White offenders in many years, but overall violent crimes (the vast majority) follow the NCVS pattern above. One high-profile case does not override aggregate stats.
