I attended my neighbour’s 50th birthday yesterday. She’s a widow with two children. Her husband died about 10 years ago, and she has been raising them with support from her family.
It wasn’t a big party, just a few old school mates attended the party.
But something happened that stayed with me.
During her vote of thanks, she mentioned my name. My heart skipped.
She said, “I also want to appreciate Mr. David. Every night he puts on his generator because of the erratic NEPA light, he gives us power. My daughter used that light to read for her JAMB.”
Then she added, “She scored 303. Now she can study Medicine and Surgery at UI.”
I was shocked.
A small act I didn’t think much of meant so much to someone else.
That moment, I made a quiet decision to keep doing good whenever I can.
Because sometimes, the little things are not little at all.

Harnessing Youth Potential Through Sport.
I followed the recent celebrity boxing match where Carter Efe emerged victorious over the reigning champion, Portable. I congratulate the winner on his determination and commend both participants for embracing the spirit of sportsmanship. Such healthy competition, grounded in respect and fairness, is a culture we must consciously imbibe as a nation, especially in a time when unity and mutual respect are greatly needed.
It is worthy to note that what began as light-hearted entertainment is rapidly evolving into a platform that commands widespread attention, particularly among young Nigerians. Beyond the rings, it reflects the energy, creativity, and resilience of our youth. More importantly, it has the capacity to discover and nurture talents who, with the right support and structure, could become the Anthony Joshuas of the future, placing Nigeria firmly on the global sporting map.
It is therefore important that we look more deeply into such events. With deliberate investment, proper regulation, and institutional backing, this emerging space can be transformed into a viable industry - one that creates employment, instills discipline, and channels youthful energy into productive ventures. In doing so, we not only entertain, but also empower, building pathways for sustainable national development.

Is Michael Jackson really bigger than Eminem, Jay z, Lil Wayne, Taylor swift, Rihanna and Beyonce all put together?

Someone has to say it and I will.
The only reason why people are still trying to push Atiku for presidency is because we have too many extremely selfish “elites” who will not support a reformer because all they are waiting for their own turn to benefit from the national cake.
Only few are interested in Nigeria as a country. The rest just wants their share too. That’s why the Nigeria project will never make it.
There are too many “Emi lo kans” who do not see Nigeria as a nation that can ever be bound in freedom, equity, peace, unity and inclusivity.

"How many trillions does MTN make in a year? In China, you don’t even need to buy separate data. Just buying airtime automatically gives you data that lasts for one full month.
MTN, stop sc@mm!ng Nigerians! This is too much. One month should be one month, and two months should be two months — not one week!👀

You’re not gonna believe there’s an unbeaten team in this league, but they’re likely gonna finish 3rd.
I mean, an invincible team that did not win the league.

That's why you are not qualified. You have no experience outside of politics. All your decisions are based on political calculations, you have not created wealth outside of politics, and Nigeria is in need of a wealth creator.
