Happy to catch up with my good aburo, AbdulRasheed @thediary_keeper, again. A scion of the Ijaodola family, perhaps the brainiest and most educated family in Offa (Dad - Prof, 3 PhDs, SAN; all five boys first class, two of them best graduating law students in their university, Rasheed 2nd best graduating student in Nigeria Law School, masters from Oxford, Stanford, brother PhD at 25). Happy that he is doing well for himself in New York now. So good that the USA law firm (Top 10 in the world) asked for the best student in the Nigeria Law School for his set and employed him. “You are this good and you said someone bested you in Law School in Nigeria? Please introduce him to us”. Both now work in same firm. A rising star we are proud of. Another testament to education no be scam.

It is shocking to me that so many left wing politicians attack the idea of prayer in response to a tragedy. Literally no one thinks prayer is a substitute for action. We pray because our hearts are broken and we believe that God is listening.

PJ ! @realjerryeze ….I remember one of your pastors (one who apparently has been with you from university days) telling me how some of you had a night long prayer stretch somewhere in school. And how you came to him after he dozed off saying “This ministry you said God has called you to, is this how you will do it…?” He thought about his life for a moment and tried to get back praying. He said you had been praying hours into the morning and still left you there praying. Sharing this today because when people see the glory, they don’t know the story and history behind it, thinking you just “blew” I join the saints world over to celebrate the blessing that is Pastor Jerry Eze. The fire, the passion, but above all, the heart❤️. Your generation rises to call you BLESSED! Happy Birthday Nwanne.

Money has no respect for wishes or intentions, it only bows to action. You cannot think your way into wealth, you must act your way into it. Every breakthrough I ever had came because I moved, even when it wasn’t convenient. Stop waiting, start doing, that’s how money responds.

I cannot believe it’s been less than 18 months since I left Shell. I tore down what once was and rebuilt a new career that is more in my image and likeness. I thought it would take me 3 years to earn what I used to make at Shell. I was wrong. It took only 3 months. And then I doubled it in another 6 months. By the end of the first year of transition, I had built a multi-million-dollar company. I now spend and save in ways I could never have dreamed of. I work harder now, but it’s so much more fun. Each day is new. Nothing is guaranteed. There are no givens. I’m scaling my company, expanding my charity, and starting two more businesses. No slowing down. Lately, I’ve been asked how I did it. I’ve resisted teaching because I still feel like a kindergartener in the school of business. But the truth is, if I don’t share what I’ve learned in the last 18 months, I may forget it. So even though I’ve not arrived, while the memory is still fresh, I’m going to share the art and science of switching career gears, especially from the perspective of an African immigrant in the West. As I review my notes, I realize that the lessons I’ll be passing across will help anyone, even those who eventually decide that staying in 9-5 is their better option. Take this as an invitation to my exclusive class on “Making It On Your Own.”  The price is $2,500. And the class size will be capped at 20. If you are interested, you can fill out the sign-up form in the CS. There will also be a free webinar for those who sign up to go over the curriculum and answer questions. Once Summer is over, it will soon be time for year-end performance reviews. Use the energy of another “meh” feedback to drive the life you have always wanted – the life you know you deserve. Let me help you get there.

Cloud security isn’t just about watching tutorials or passing certs. It’s about building projects that solve real-life problems. Any Dick and Harry can talk, only few can actually do the work. I’m starting 100 days of cloud security projects. Let’s do one project every week. If you’re interested, signify. I want serious people ONLY.

In a relationship, make sure that you don’t cross certain lines, no matter how angry you are. Do not attack your partner’s dignity and self worth. Even if they forgive you, your words would keep ringing in their heads. It’ll never be the same again. I am Ezemmuo. I know things.

I don’t join arguments about his politics, but when it comes to personal humility, I know enough to stick my neck out for him. And I have experienced it with him. Personally. And not during election cycle. Met him 2X in a hotel restaurant in Abuja in 2020/2021. No retinue of aides. Just one man with him. All of us were carrying plates to be served. Not sitting in one corner and commandeering aides or restaurant staff. If you didn’t recognise him, you would never know a VIP was in our midst. I thought it was his look-alike myself until I whispered to a restaurant employee that, “Is that not Peter Obi?”. He was apparently a regular there. When I asked for picture, he dropped the plate he was carrying and obliged. I was expecting him to say when he was done eating. When done, I went outside and did not see any MOPOL and all that. Just one Prado. Except the driver was a security person. I was actually worried about such accessibility and lack of (visible) security around him that I couldn’t mention that in the tweet I made after that experience because I considered it a privacy/security/movement exposure to talk in public about that at the time. The hotel wasn’t even a heavily secured one. Forget about the fact that he was a former governor and VP candidate two years earlier, his status as a multi billionaire alone is enough to have some airs. I have come across many tier 1 Nigerian politicians, I have never met anyone like that in terms of personal humility. Even (many) common real estate CEOs in Abuja don’t move around like that.

Before you say it’s a format… I witnessed him do this in Ojukwu’s burial in 2012 and also in Chinua Achebe’s burial in 2013. I was covering for Know Enugu magazine and Connect Africa Magazine respectively. Yup! He was a seating governor at the time!

And please stop listening to all those talks of "if a woman likes you, she'll not bill you". It's a big lie! All women love money. Including my lovely wife. It's just that some have more shame & self worth. And would rather starve, preserve their dignity, than to beg. End.
