This sounds a lot better than what I initially thought and heard, but I am still skeptical after Google originally tried to get rid of sideloading entirely.

Some people in the replies pointed out that developer mode can be turned off at any time while keeping sideloading, and that a lot of apps only block USB debugging.

Android will soon require developer mode to be on in order to sideload. This will make it less practical to sideload, as some apps, such as banking apps, may block you from running them with developer mode on.

As expected, Google is making sideloading harder on Android… but it is NOT going anywhere Here's the new way in simple steps: • Turn ON Developer Mode in settings • Confirm no one is forcing you • Restart your phone and unlock again • Wait 24 hours, then verify with fingerprint / face / PIN • Now you can install apps (7 days or always) More steps, but you still have the choice

What’s worse is that Apple blocks competing stores, so what would just be a ludicrously bad store stocking decision in a competitive market is instead an outright blockade against an entire app category of for a billion users.

Apple needs to bring back Steve Wozniak to fix these idiotic missteps. It’s not only a terrible move against developers, it’s a move against kids learning to make apps and therefore a move against the future of Apple’s own platform.

Apple has quietly halted App Store updates for popular AI "vibe-coding" applications most notably the $9 billion startup Replit and mobile app builder Vibecode. After months of pushback, Apple is reportedly demanding major UX changes. Replit is being asked to force its generated app previews to open in an external web browser rather than natively inside its app. Vibecode was told it must completely remove the ability to generate software specifically for Apple devices.

After announcing that Epic is reducing V-Buck amounts to "help pay the bills," they are now paying UEFN creators even more. I do not encourage anyone to spend money on this game right now, as they are making very scummy decisions towards their players.

@gkshrubs I do not believe it is possible. As far as I know, there is no x86 Android version unlike Roblox, so that version cannot run natively on most PCs. In addition, the game detects whether you are using ARM to x86 emulation and will refuse to run if you try.
