A woman in her (guessing) mid sixties who came in today looking for a 50 Cent biography. We didn't have it, but we had another 50 Cent biography... but she had already read it. She just needed more and that's the coolest.

@FredLibrary If she comes in again she should read Hip-Hop (And Other Things) by Shea Serrano! There's a chapter about 50 Cent and a ton of other references to him. Plus, it's a hilarious read.

@thewebprincess But probably some level of critical or public acclaim? Not every single novel pre WW2 like we get told by some patrons haha!

It's going to hurt some people to hear this, but just because a book is old, doesn't make it a classic.

Today I accidentally put one end of a microfilm into the machine wrong... and then had to remove it and respool the film by hand for 15 minutes after. I WOULDN'T WISH THIS ON MY WORST ENEMY
