The path to 25k isn't easy at all and there obv aren't even that many of them in the US anymore, but I see people doing it. Some are surely selling pieces for the bigger stuff still but I think that's just usually part of the process. And it's not a coincidence most of them are clearly very good players and started at one point from the bottom. My point is the path still remains.

People say the poker dream is dead, but the ladder from a smallest stakes to the top is still intact. Most of the guys I battle in the bigger stuff started at the absolute bottom. The barrier isn’t the money, it’s the work. If you have the drive, the path to the high rollers is still wide open.
