You know that bit in life when you discover your son under a dragons wing and realize he's still alive and actually a hero and that the dragon itself is a beautiful creature and not the devil you thought it was. Happens to all of us. Doesn't it ?!?!

And now… he’s off to Hogwarts!? Big congrats, mate, on being cast as Hagrid in the new Harry Potter series. Couldn’t be a better man for the job. Beard’s already halfway there.

In between scenes with my old pal Gobber, the one and only Nick Frost! An absolute legend on set... funny, sharp, and endlessly entertaining. Watching him bring Gobber to life has been a joy (and a lot of laughs).

Didn’t know this one even saw the film since it came out before he was born. He knows the classics, proud dad! Celebrating 20 years of #PhantomOfTheOpera.

Snapped this beauty out the window of my hotel room in Belfast while filming for #HowToTrainYourDragon. See that yellow frame on the far right? That’s exactly where we were filming that day. If that’s not a good omen, I don’t know what is!

It was easier to find before I put the costume on. 🥸 In truth, that was me standing on a scale finding out the real weight of my costume. Just look at the size of me!

From the first time I stepped into the recording booth for the first animated film and shouted “Oden.. it was rough” to stepping back into Stoick’s boots for the live-action version, Dean’s been the heart behind it all.

Been on this wild ride with @DeanDeBlois since the very beginning of How to Train Your Dragon.

Just your friendly neighborhood Viking getting his beard glued on. Takes a village to build Stoick… or at least a very patient makeup team.

Couldn’t be more proud to call him my Viking son. As you can see, this sentiment is backed up by all the troops that went into battle with us last night. Go see #HowToTrainYourDragon and watch this kid soar. He’s gonna break your heart in the best way.

I’ve worked with a lot of young actors, but Mason, he’s the real deal. Proper heart, grit, and just... magic on screen. Watching him bring Hiccup to life, funny, vulnerable, brave, it blew me away.

#HowToTrainYourDragon hits theaters TODAY. Hope you all love watching it as much as we loved making it.

To Mason, my boy, sharing that final day on set with you was something I won’t forget. To our incredible hair & makeup team, thank you for transforming me into a viking every single day. To this entire cast, thank you for the laughs, the heart, & the magic we created together.

Premiere day, baby! What a ride this has been. From day one to the very last shot, this cast and crew have been nothing short of legendary. Massive love to @DeanDeBlois for trusting me with Stoick again and for the sword wrap gift that nearly broke me (in the best way).

Still buzzing from the U.S. premiere of #HowToTrainYourDragon. Had a bit of fun backstage goofing off with Hiccup and Astrid before we went on. Can’t wait for you all to see the film this Friday. You’re in for a ride.

Stoick on set! What an incredible experience it was bringing Stoick from voice to screen. I’ve loved this character for so many years, and stepping into his boots (literally) has been a dream come true. #HowToTrainYourDragon comes to theaters June 13th. Let’s go!

Being at the Epic Universe grand opening was truly a beautiful moment. 15 years in the making! So proud to be a part of the #HowToTrainYourDragon universe. 🐉⚔️

When I was training for #PlaneMovie, they let me take the simulator wherever I wanted, so I flew right past the Hollywood sign. Just got this sent to me by the pilot who trained me and they’re still showing this to people today. Guess I made an impression! 🤷🏻‍♂️
