🚨💣 Maxi Rodríguez has shared the hilarious story of his move to Liverpool and his very first conversation with Rafa Benítez 😂 “I went to Argentina to spend Christmas. One day my agent called me saying ‘Maxi, Rafael Benítez is calling you and you have to decide in 48 hours to go play for Liverpool.’ I spoke with him and the first thing he asked me was if I knew how to speak English. I told him yes, that I’d studied it in school and he shouldn’t worry. At the press conference for my presentation, Rafa said ‘Maxi, I’ll start and then I’ll give you the floor.’ So I confessed: ‘Rafa, I have to tell you something — remember when I told you I knew English? Well, I don’t know a damn thing.’ ‘Holy shit, man,’ he replied, laughing, before adding: ‘Go ahead, it’s no big deal, but tomorrow you start studying.’”
