𝐓𝐄𝐍 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 🔴 On this day in 2016, we were relegated from Step 4 and into the Spartan, with falling attendances and the club on the brink of collapse. Through the hard work of brilliant people, our club has transformed over the last decade. From debts and despair, to sustainability and optimism. Without the tireless hard work behind the scenes, Leighton Town Football Club would have no doubt, ceased to exist. But here we are, 10 years on, celebrating winning the league at Step 4 and preparing to play Step 3 football for the first time in our history. We’ve also celebrated that Beds Senior Cup win and winning the Spartan in that time, as well as enjoyable cup runs and so many great memories along the way. Everybody at the club is so grateful to all of our wonderful committee members, our volunteers, our supporters, our players and staff, our sponsors, everyone associated with our football club. That thank you only extends to Mr Leighton Town himself, Sean Downey, our chairman, without his efforts to restore life into our club, we would not be where we are today. Let’s celebrate these moments together, get down to Bell Close on Saturday and let’s witness history together ❤️ #YourTownYourTeam
