Blame it on colonialism, imperialism, or even neocolonialism, but one narrative I'm no longer convinced by is How Europe Underdeveloped Africa. It’s been over 65 years since many African countries gained independence, and, in all honesty, it’s quite an ample time for Africa to have developed Africa. But what have we done? Singapore got independence from Malaysia, yet look at where it is today. Yet, in Africa, we have continuously blamed Europe and colonialism for our underdevelopment. I’m going to say it unequivocally: Africa has underdeveloped Africa. Things would have been better if we never gained independence and remained under colonialism. Some of the developmental strides we have today and the adequate infrastructure were all set in place by them. We are worse off now than we were under colonial rule.

The exact same garbage-level content being pushed down the throats of Nigerian youth are also being aggressively promoted to millions of children and young adults in the United States and Europe. I go further in this video to assert that it is primarily the catastrophic economic collapse in Nigeria that has successfully created the desperate, hopeless conditions for this "Olodo Uprising" to thrive, multiply, and dominate our national consciousness. When a country lacks stable jobs, quality public education and industrial opportunities, streaming ridiculous stunts for cash or consuming cheap digital distractions becomes the only survival mechanism and psychological escape for a desperate, abandoned youth.
